Berry Much a Miracle
Berry Much a Miracle - Kindle edition by Graves, Catherine. Children Kindle eBooks @ Amazon.com.
This story was built on the author’s reflection of blackberries growing over the fence in the backyard. As she would play hand-clapping games with her sister, they would keep an eye on the blackberries. When they were full and juicy, a bucket-full would encourage her mom to make a pie. It is the same with Latisha in Berry Much a Miracle.
The Woodpecker and the Sandcastle Mystery
Cornell and Bernice were looking with anticipation to a day at the beach. They loved wiggling their toes in the bubbles of the surf and building sandcastles. Cornell also looked forward to the saltwater taffy that was a treat when they visited the beach. Today, however, this visit was different.

It is the same with Latisha in Berry Much a Miracle. Things for Latisha however, were different. She was worried about how life had changed when her parents divorced. It was good though, that she had a great friend who lived just three houses down the street who understood how she felt.
As Latisha kept a hopeful heart, things began to get better. One might even say “It was a miracle.” Let the story unfold as you try the rhythm of the rhyme. Clap your hands and sing the rhyme, and hope to find the joy, as you read Berry Much a Miracle.
Cornell was only thinking of himself and the things he wanted to do, and that were important to him. This day he was actually rude, and sometimes hurt feelings without even knowing he had done so. There was, however, a surprise and a mystery that would make this trip to the beach a memory that Cornell and Bernice would never forget. And yes… the saltwater taffy was extra delicious on this day.

Bellabunt Elephant
Bellabunt Elephant - Kindle edition by Graves, Catherine. Children Kindle eBooks @ Amazon.com.
It is important for each child to learn to embrace and celebrate their own individuality and this includes their name. Sometimes names have special meanings that children do not always understand. Often, if their name is different (not a John, Joe or Mary), or if they have been teased because of their name, this will be a good book for them. Bellabunt Elephant was so concerned that his name is not good enough to participate in the “Name Rhyme” birthday celebration, but he learned something new… something good.
It is the purpose and goal of this experience to open doors of hope and possibility to anyone who hungers to learn and to expand their future vision and experiences of art and culture. This is most important to those to whom these opportunities and resources have not always been readily available, and also, those who love to immerse themselves in new ways of learning.
Hear the voice of one, who for more than four decades, expressed love, life, pain, grief and even injustice through artistic expressions of paint on canvas. In addition to understanding this as the foundation and lifeblood of who she is; she has taught hundreds about the value of artistic expression.
When a person is “in the experience,” they can better understand its meaning. It is our goal to offer more opportunities that may expand a persons perspective, opening the door to see or experience the world “close-up” and in a personal way. No Grades, just fun.
You do not have to be in seminary to have this experience. It is designed to expand your biblical historical understanding, by providing an opportunity to see real artifacts from the holy lands, some more than 1500 years old. There will be a clear reference to items that are mentioned in Bible passages and participants will be reminded of their biblical contextual relevance.
This is a non-clinical experience that challenges its participants to consider their own personal and/or spiritual journey. Presentations, conversation, and time for reflection are built into the personal and interpersonal experience of the shared time in community. Directed conversations will allow for a rich exchange of experiences.
This gathering is designed to offer an expanded perspective and to establish a better understanding, of what is sometimes spoken, but not always heard, when young men express themselves. This is especially true of young men of color. This event is created with a hopeful future-vision of ways to begin to bridge the communication gap that is now so prevalent today across generations, culture, race and class.
Have you ever wondered who are your ancestors? There is a place where you will have access to centuries of records. After learning about resources that are available to anyone who wishes to learn, a docent will help guide you through your search, making this a very personal experience... often with a new-found history of who you are.
When thinking of the art and culture educational courses, one’s mind often speeds directly to famous paintings or dance. The arts span a large number of disciplines and one that is not often recognized in the United States is the “Culinary Arts”. Learn to see food in new ways, colorful and beautifully prepared for your pleasure.

The catalog below identifies both one-time experiences as well as some that can become a part of an academy. The academy flyer is designed for those who would like to create a series of learning opportunities. This can be arranged for small communities.
